Rianne Gracia entered the Desousa property info into the MLS computer system on January 9, 2008. On February 3, 2008 she suddenly and inexplicably quit her job as a secretary in the RE/MAX office where Lindsay worked. Lindsay had gotten her the job. Shortly after the murder, Rianne went down to the police station and pointed the finger at the Zailo’s as being involved. At first, she appeared to be cooperative. But when Saanich Police requested that she participate in a polygraph examination, she balked. She has been uncooperative POI for the past 13 years and has never taken a polygraph test. Why not? Jason did. At the time of the murder, she was in a relationship with one of the known conspirators in Lindsay’s murder, and was obsessed with true crime shows such as Forensic Files.

Josh: “Saanich Police continued to investigate whether the motive was personal and they were not yet done focusing on the people who Lindsay Buziak would have described as her friends.”
Josh: “Is the person behind this somebody Lindsay knows or is the person behind this someone unknown to her?”

I understand that Shirley Zailo was on the board of directors of the Saanich Police department at the time of the murders. Shortly after that, she dated an officer on this same police force. She had motive and opportunity. Her and Jason. People can be trained to beat lie-detector tests. First time I saw a pic of Shirley and Jason I thought they were both sketchy. Apparently they are allegedly involved in the drug trade in Victoria. Look at the Cullen Commission talking about the links between real estate and money laundering. Like DUH WTF do you think they are involved in? Plus the auto body shop mentioned in many of the videos https://www.shcautographx.com is allegedly a chop shop, in addition to being the go-to place for criminals and gang-bangers. Victoria is rich but the money is dirty money.
After multiple podcasts, tons of internet research, and thoroughly reviewing websites… I believe Shirley had her killed. Tons of money and a corrupt police department. There’s not much more to see in my opinion. My heart breaks for her father.
I am so deeply troubled over this case because of the brutality of the killing, no justice after 12 yrs now and we have a very broken father who has seen absolutely NO justice for his beautiful daughter’s savage murder. I prey someday whether its the Sannich police, or detectives or another police force catch whoever did this vile crime. I have seen all 3 podcasts of John Lordan’s “lordanarts” channel on youtube and have digested the case and it’s very frightening that just because someone has money they can divert the blame from them and coherse the police to ignore the crime, very troubling indeed. My suspicions are focused on the Zailos, no doubt. I am very suspiscious of them both, Jason and his evil witch mother Shirley. They had the motive plus whatever Lyndsey seen prior to her murder was the key to whoever did this viscious thing to her, extremely sad and unacceptable. I pray Jeff comes through this with his sanity and dignity; he really is a champion and hero of mine. Keep Fighting Jeff, we love you.
I tend to believe the theory that someone who knew her did it. Imo the murder had the earmarks of jealousy and rage; something personal.
Btw, admire the fathers efforts but the police can only do so much. Sometimes it takes years for police to get the evidence they need to make a case; someone talks or gives up key information. It takes a lot for police to put together a provable case.

I agree with you but what I am having great difficulty in believing is WHY this Sannich police is struggling so much after all these years in solving Lyndsey’s murder and WHY they are using strong-arm tactics to intimidate her father Jeff Buziak in just wanting justice for his daughter’s murder? I mean if it were my daughter I would be totally insane by now, now 12 yrs later and NO arrest. It is lame and totally unacceptable IBMurder. I wish this poor man receives clousure in his daughter’s brutal slaying. It was personal and very articulated; planned and viscious execution. But somebody involved in the world of drug trafficking from Mexico, this is everyday stuff. I think we know who in that area is responsible, but convictions aren’t coming. People in that criminal enterprise don’t talk, because they know what the results of that will mean for them and their family. If you are expecting law enforcement to end this, forget it, they know they will not solve it. But if you wish to seek out some sense of justice, hire a private eye, let him bribe some people associated with the criminal enterprise up there, find out who made the call, and take justice into your own hands.

The amount of evidence needed to secure an indictment and conviction in a case of this magnitude is huge. The reality is that sometimes you just can’t get it. Prosecutor won’t take it to trial because he does not wish to lose and not be able to prosecute it again. If people don’t talk and nobody turns evidence, you have to rely on physical evidence that is conclusive. Obviously there is no DNA or prints to go on. This does surprise me because I would think some DNA should be present, in particular, touch DNA. She obviously shook hands with one or both. But here is where I differ from the conspiracy crowd. I most cases where forensics were not gathered, it is human incompetence and someone just not being good at their job. Curious if DNA was attempted to be collected on the fence outside and the inside door knob on the back door.
Hi Robin, I too believe the Zailos are involved in Lyndsey’s murder, first of all from listening to Jeff Buziak commenting on John Lordan’s podcast “Lordanarts” on youtube which is a very good channel or podcast whatever you prefer. Anyway Jeff talks about how angry and jealous Jason Zailo was when he knew Lyndsey wanted their relationship over and he had a motive a very jealous man we’re talking about here. And Lyndsey’s friend Nicky when she was called in the middle of the night with a Stange Accent (sound familiar?) Portuguese I wrote because I understand and speak a little Spanish but anyway, when Nicky called back guess who answered the phone, Shirley Zailo! She was terrified according to Jeff Buziak and for good reason. I believe where there’s smoke there’s fire. The Zailos either conspired to do this vile murder or they know who did.
I don’t see this as a message. A message is when they did more than one murder. Police already found out one of the people who made the call or who was involved. It’s a matter of time now. Put the right authorities on this and it will get solved or at least have some people behind bars where they belong.
There are cartels in brazil. It’s much more likely they were from Brazil. The “spanish” accent and described by witnesses as caucasian. That means they looked white and spoke with a funny spanish-like accent. That’s brazillian. Desousa.
If it were a mexican cartel or something like that they wouldn’t be described as caucasian. There are caucasians in South America that speak spanish but it’s very unlikely we are dealing with a chilean or argentinian drug trade when Desousa has connections to Brazil.
SZ was the ringleader no doubt in my mind. Gut instinct when I saw her on Dateline. It wouldn’t surprise me if she murdered her too. That woman is evil. And you could tell she was a liar too.

You are not fully upto speed on all the information that is available to read or in podcast, or TV shows. From what I understand, the son called his mother to get the access code for the house. The call could be traced back to her in an area and at a time that would have made it impossible for her to be at that house.
Mark many of us believe that Lindsay went straight to the house after late lunch, it is JaSIN who says she went home to change. He was manipulating the timeline. I believe Lindsay was murdered around 5:00 pm. I think you need to go back and read older posts and watch Jeff (Lindsay’s Dad) on Brain Scratch or Shauna Rae is another good one.
Deeply disturbing case. My gut instinct is that SZ was the blonde, who showed up at the viewing, and ‘surprised’ Lindsay under the pretense that, as this was her first big showing, this was a ‘test’ to see how she goes about showing a home. Whatever apprehension Lindsay may have felt at that moment, she’d have set it aside, and gone along with this creative mentoring by SZ and phony husband and may have even felt some relief in that this funny exercise in on the job training, although bizarre, would have explained everything, in her mind. Regardless, she would have had no option but to play along.

Why does the boyfriend show up late, with a friend, when he was asked to be there for his girlfriend to protect her. Then he texts that he is almost there after he already texted that he would be 10-15 mins away. Then he doesn’t go inside. Then be goes straight to the room where she was murdered? I believe shirley had a lot to do with it, the more I read the story just doesnt and up. I also believe if Jason knows anything now, he wasn’t in on it. If he had prior knowledge I would think he would have established an even stronger alibi and stayed far far away from the crime scene. Take into consideration that when the “mexicans” called lindsay, they had very specific requests for what they were looking for. I would say if shirley planned this out, she was leading lindsay to choose a specific house, she knew lindsay would choose the one with all their qualifiers, and under their million dollar budget. Im not saying she called lindsay herself. I think lindsay would have recognized her voice. But i think she possibly played a part in setting it up.
Jason may or may not have known, he seemed genuine to me for some reason, but he could have also played a part. He did make certain he had an alibi, having that other guy with him and being seen on camera, thats very convenient for him. Also convenient is that he didnt see the killers leave when he was right there while the murder happened, and he texted her to ask if she was okay instead of calling? Whatever.
Moving on, shirley possibly had some back room dealings. Maybe there were also police involved, the drug dealers, etc. Maybe not. But real estate is a known front for laundering money. And even if there were not police directly involved in the shady business, she probably paid them off. I dont think they investigated this for shit. Im sorry but why hold the sketches for a year? Did they go through the businesses finances? How did jason and shirley get cleared so easily? Thats a whole other rabbit hole to go down, so ill leave that alone for now. Going back to these shady dealings, lindsay was around the zailos and their business enough to have stumbled upon some kind of meeting, paperwork, phone conversation, an affair, or a plethora of other things. I think this could be what she told her father she shouldnt have seen. And could have ultimately led to her death. The fact that the woman with the accent also called jasons ex and lindsays friend nikki, and then when nikki called it back, fucking shirley answered, blows me away.
I also think its strange how the police have refused every offer of help along the way, and doing everything they can do it seems to let these killers go free.
Shirley certainly had the money to hire actors and killers, and pay the police to not investigate, in order to construct a massive cover up. If whatever she is hiding is worth killing for, it must be hella serious. Money talks. But like i said before, there are too many people involved in this conspiracy for it to stay a secret forever. We know that there are at least 2 people involved, the mexicans. From eyewitness accounts. But i have a feeling this conspiracy reaches much deeper and there are many more people involved than we expected.
I have many more theories and i know this one sounds pretty looney but i just hope that this case gets looked at from every angle and eventually solved. Uh no. Jason has been fully cooperative and passed lie detector tests. There is no evidence that the police “didn’t investigate” and you don’t just approach the lead investigator in a murder case and offer him money blindly to not investigate. Lol. You have some serious emotional problems. The rage you throw at anybody that has a different opinion than you is similar to that of a spoiled child. The son and mother were looked at hard because of their connection to her. The police dismissed them. If we are going down the rabbit hole that all the police are corrupt and polygraphs mean nothing, well, good luck. And for the record, the actions of the son that night don’t translate to “evidence.” You can spin it anyway you want, but he was not there when she met the couple and he was not in the house when it transpired. For every speculation in which you think his actions were weird, another can be made that says it was not. She was making a real estate deal, I believe the boyfriend wished to lay back so she did not come across as someone that needed her hand held while she did her job. I have also been asked to provide backup during similar deals, I always try to lay back so the other person could do their job and the customers were not uncomfortable.

Rianne Garcias phone records should have been checked . she would have had to relay the information about the referral to either the burner or an unknown number that might have lead to a new lead. All of her boyfriends family as well. Someone was in communication with the killers from that real estate office either directly of through another number but if follwed through new leads should show through. As far as the escape through the back yard sounds far fetched . Jason drove passed the front he noticed the killers were still there so he pulled passed the house and sat for 10 minuted so his unknowing passenger would not see them leave he watch them leave then drove back to the house . He went to extremes to make sure his alibi covered him his mom and even his brother by calling his brother for directions and then his mom for the code asking a friend to let him buy dinner a half hour after he had lunch then to be recorded on camera. Then his excuse for not going in was I didnt want to seem like an over barring boyfriend Well you were asked to be there and Im sure Linsey let the killers know you were coming for the walk through But it didnt seem to stop them cause they knew he wasn’t coming .The whole family was in on it including Rianne . Having money doesn’t make you smart it makes others not question your motives as much .
His flimsy excuse for not wanting to be overbearing is b.s. i think he had proven himself to be overbearing, and shirley did as well, and they didnt care who knew or how lindsay felt. And i think thats why she didnt want to be with him.

I think her boyfriend’s a killer. It’s very thoughtful that he doesn’t go in there after we get there and wait until 6 o’clock. The reason he waited so long was because of the time it took to destroy the evidence.
Who provided casefile with the names of the 4 persons of interest? If none of those men are involved in the murder what is the significance of the cell phone pings and why was that information provided to casefile? At the 51.00 minute mark, the producer said he was told about the cell phone records.
“The murder phone travelled to the Island the day before Lindsay’s murder.I’ve been told cell phone records show when that phone got to the Island Vid’s phone pinged in the same location as the murder phone when it came in on the ferry.The murder phone and his phone are then said to have pinged off the same tower later that night as well. The one that’s close to his house. I have also been told that there are phone records that show four people all come together suddenly from different parts of Victoria one hour after Lindsay’s murder at which time all their phones started to ping together. The four people are Vid Acevedo, Medardo Rivas, Edwardson and Eldriegson Del Alcazar”.

Why did she show up so soon at the DeSousa house? Does anyone have an idea about why the 4 phones would ping a hour after Lindsay was murdered?
My question was not about Jason or Shirly. I am more curious about the behavior of the four men who came together one hour after Lindsay’s murder. Why was their phone records shared with the producer of casefile? Did the police share that information with the producer?
I think I saw somewhere about this, maybe on John Lordan’s youtube video, that it wasn’t the police who shared this information – they are useless in this case by the way. I think it was a private investigator that the father hired who found this out. But you’d think that the police would’ve checked it out thoroughly – all their phone records, etc. Very discouraging.
Does anybody think that the mother Shirley zailo hired someone to kill Lindsay? I was thinking what if Shirley hired those 4 men to kill Lindsay for whatever reason and to make it seem like some sort of serial killer killing- the reason she was stabbed so many times- and to make sure she was definitely dead. Then later paid off police to say that Lindsays boyfriend passed the polygraph test hence the reason why police are not doing anything and refuse to show the files. What if lindsays boyfriend really didn’t pass the polygraph and shirley who was basically rich just paid off the police to shut their mouth.

The inference here is that the details given to Lindsay by “the Mexicans” (the killers) were designed so that no other house would be selected. The murder house was chosen by Rianne, who knew of the listing. The Casefile podcast states that the cellphone of “the Mexicans” and Vid pinged at the same time at the same cellphone tower when the killers got to Vancouver Island. Moreover, cellphones of the four POI above pinged together the night of the murder. Strong circumstantial evidence, but police need a witness to corroborate this in court.

I don’t know why people are so caught up on this “mexican” thing. It’s pretty obvious to me they weren’t mexican. They had funny spanish accents and witnesses described them as caucasian. That’s brazillian people. She called them mexicans probably because she hadn’t met very many Brazillians before and got hung up on the funny spanishy accent.
Lindsay was going to break off the relationship with her boyfriend. Lindsay had seen a lot of stuff that the boyfriend and his mom were involved in. The mom was concerned because she could leak stuff that could get them in a serious bind. The boyfriend was upset about being dumped and the criminal ramifications of Lindsay talking. The decision was made by these two to use criminal associates to murder her. The boyfriend was sure to establish his alibi and then find the body. The mother was sure to be miles away as well. This was choreographed for sometime, primarily the mother’s doing with assistance from some of the criminal associates in BC. The police in that area are no necessarily corrupt, but there are some people in law enforcement with ties to the underworld up there. God Bless the dad for keeping this thing alive, but this thing has been swept far under the rug.

I disagree with you Joel. The house was a convenience for the murder. Joe De Sousa owned it, he was friends with Shirley Zailo’s boyfriend, Paul Bergshoeff. Joe DeSousa was dividing the land around this house that his family had owned for years. Houses were under construction around them at that time of Lindsay’s murder. My point being Joe DeSousa and his trashy friends knew exactly what was going on in that cul de sac at the time of the murder and they could control and predict activity at any time. No it wasn’t about the house it was about Lindsay knowing something that threatened the criminal lifestyle of DeSousa, the Zailo’s, Horsley, and the likes of them. It was crazy that Terry Shein lived next door to Joe DeSousa too, I wonder when he moved into that house because I believe he was the escape route. Casefile 28 on you tube explains how that happened.

I think someone who is not directly involved with the murder knows or suspects who is. If they know the difference between good and bad then they must do the right thing. Even if they do it anonymously, either post it here or write a letter or something, anything, or even make it public should they wish. He/she can only help this family. The person who knew who all the clients of Lindsay’s were and who found out that this particular one was away…So the person who conspired was the one who had a GOOD ACCESS to this information. If they didn’t know them very well already, and to find out which client was gone, wouldn’t they have had to call around? As far as clients that supposedly gave Lindsay’s contact out was BS. SZ was manager at Remax and she must have known people were going to be out of town and Lindsay could not reach them to verify. SZ would have been paying attention to everything Lindsay did starting in December when OJason was caught behind bedroom door eavesdropping on Lindsay and Nikki and heard Lindsay say she wanted to leave him when some deals closed. Jason whined to Mommy and she twisted off with anger. This is not related to drug bust, Lindsay’s murder has the devil Zailo’s marks all over it. The Calgary drug deal is just used to keep people from looking at the Zailo’s. The SPD are protecting Zailo’s by trying to confuse people.
Why cant they find her clients that where away on vacation? They should go through every real estate client she had. Plus this is total speculation but where was Shirley at the time of the murder? was she the women at the visit? showing up last minute with the male client telling Lindsey she new the clients after-all (possibly through the clients that recommended her) and somehow bumped into him and decided to go.

Rianne Gracia entered the Desousa property info into the MLS computer system on January 9, 2008. On February 3, 2008 she suddenly and inexplicably quit her job as a secretary in the RE/MAX office where Lindsay worked. Lindsay had gotten her the job. Shortly after the murder, Rianne went down to the police station and pointed the finger at the Zailo’s as being involved. At first, she appeared to be cooperative. But when Saanich Police requested that she participate in a polygraph examination, she balked. She has been uncooperative POI for the past 13 years and has never taken a polygraph test. Why not? Jason did. At the time of the murder, she was in a relationship with one of the known conspirators in Lindsay’s murder, and was obsessed with true crime shows such as Forensic Files.

Josh: “Saanich Police continued to investigate whether the motive was personal and they were not yet done focusing on the people who Lindsay Buziak would have described as her friends.”
Josh: “Is the person behind this somebody Lindsay knows or is the person behind this someone unknown to her?”

I understand that Shirley Zailo was on the board of directors of the Saanich Police department at the time of the murders. Shortly after that, she dated an officer on this same police force. She had motive and opportunity. Her and Jason. People can be trained to beat lie-detector tests. First time I saw a pic of Shirley and Jason I thought they were both sketchy. Apparently they are allegedly involved in the drug trade in Victoria. Look at the Cullen Commission talking about the links between real estate and money laundering. Like DUH WTF do you think they are involved in? Plus the auto body shop mentioned in many of the videos https://www.shcautographx.com is allegedly a chop shop, in addition to being the go-to place for criminals and gang-bangers. Victoria is rich but the money is dirty money.
After multiple podcasts, tons of internet research, and thoroughly reviewing websites… I believe Shirley had her killed. Tons of money and a corrupt police department. There’s not much more to see in my opinion. My heart breaks for her father.

I am so deeply troubled over this case because of the brutality of the killing, no justice after 12 yrs now and we have a very broken father who has seen absolutely NO justice for his beautiful daughter’s savage murder. I prey someday whether its the Sannich police, or detectives or another police force catch whoever did this vile crime. I have seen all 3 podcasts of John Lordan’s “lordanarts” channel on youtube and have digested the case and it’s very frightening that just because someone has money they can divert the blame from them and coherse the police to ignore the crime, very troubling indeed. My suspicions are focused on the Zailos, no doubt. I am very suspiscious of them both, Jason and his evil witch mother Shirley. They had the motive plus whatever Lyndsey seen prior to her murder was the key to whoever did this viscious thing to her, extremely sad and unacceptable. I tend to believe the theory that someone who knew her did it. Imo the murder had the earmarks of jealousy and rage; something personal.
Btw, admire the fathers efforts but the police can only do so much. Sometimes it takes years for police to get the evidence they need to make a case; someone talks or gives up key information. It takes a lot for police to put together a provable case.

I agree with you but what I am having great difficulty in believing is WHY this Sannich police is struggling so much after all these years in solving Lyndsey’s murder and WHY they are using strong-arm tactics to intimidate her father Jeff Buziak in just wanting justice for his daughter’s murder? I mean if it were my daughter I would be totally insane by now, now 12 yrs later and NO arrest. It is lame and totally unacceptable IBMurder. I wish this poor man receives clousure in his daughter’s brutal slaying. It was personal and very articulated; planned and viscious execution. Can you give me any opinions why this lame police beurau is taking so long? Can it be there is higher forces at work here or is the Zailos paying them off?
Murder can be committed in various ways. It can be quick and impersonal or it can be especially violent and very personal.Sometimes it is just a quick solution to a problem, other times it is meant to to send a message. When you examine this murder, it was over the top, incredibly violent, and meant to send a message. This had cartel trappings, gratuitous and with a message. The boyfriend and his mother are not going to coordinate such a savage act, it just does not stand to reason, that is not their world. But somebody involved in the world of drug trafficking from Mexico, this is everyday stuff. I think we know who in that area is responsible, but convictions aren’t coming. People in that criminal enterprise don’t talk, because they know what the results of that will mean for them and their family. If you are expecting law enforcement to end this, forget it, they know they will not solve it. But if you wish to seek out some sense of justice, hire a private eye, let him bribe some people associated with the criminal enterprise up there, find out who made the call, and take justice into your own hands.

The amount of evidence needed to secure an indictment and conviction in a case of this magnitude is huge. The reality is that sometimes you just can’t get it. Prosecutor won’t take it to trial because he does not wish to lose and not be able to prosecute it again. If people don’t talk and nobody turns evidence, you have to rely on physical evidence that is conclusive. Obviously there is no DNA or prints to go on. This does surprise me because I would think some DNA should be present, in particular, touch DNA. She obviously shook hands with one or both. But here is where I differ from the conspiracy crowd. I most cases where forensics were not gathered, it is human incompetence and someone just not being good at their job. Curious if DNA was attempted to be collected on the fence outside and the inside door knob on the back door.

Hi Robin, I too believe the Zailos are involved in Lyndsey’s murder, first of all from listening to Jeff Buziak commenting on John Lordan’s podcast “Lordanarts” on youtube which is a very good channel or podcast whatever you prefer. Anyway Jeff talks about how angry and jealous Jason Zailo was when he knew Lyndsey wanted their relationship over and he had a motive a very jealous man we’re talking about here. And Lyndsey’s friend Nicky when she was called in the middle of the night with a Stange Accent (sound familiar?) Portuguese I wrote because I understand and speak a little Spanish but anyway, when Nicky called back guess who answered the phone, Shirley Zailo! She was terrified according to Jeff Buziak and for good reason. I believe where there’s smoke there’s fire. The Zailos either conspired to do this vile murder or they know who did.
I don’t see this as a message. A message is when they did more than one murder. Police already found out one of the people who made the call or who was involved. It’s a matter of time now. Put the right authorities on this and it will get solved or at least have some people behind bars where they belong.
There are cartels in brazil. It’s much more likely they were from Brazil. The “spanish” accent and described by witnesses as caucasian. That means they looked white and spoke with a funny spanish-like accent. That’s brazillian. Desousa.
If it were a mexican cartel or something like that they wouldn’t be described as caucasian. There are caucasians in South America that speak spanish but it’s very unlikely we are dealing with a chilean or argentinian drug trade when Desousa has connections to Brazil.

They have proven to be a useless bunch of detectives getting paycheques but not earning them. No shit Sherlock. The people who murdered Lindsay behaved with a get back at you attitude. It was personal. The Zailo’s had the motive and the means. You are not fully upto speed on all the information that is available to read or in podcast, or TV shows. It seems to me you might have some valid opinions once you read and listen to information that is out in the media. We have already determined on this blog that Lindsay’s murder was personal. From what I understand, the son called his mother to get the access code for the house. The call could be traced back to her in an area and at a time that would have made it impossible for her to be at that house.
She had time and did show up at the scene.
Mark many of us believe that Lindsay went straight to the house after late lunch, it is JaSIN who says she went home to change. He was manipulating the timeline. I believe Lindsay was murdered around 5:00 pm. I think you need to go back and read older posts and watch Jeff (Lindsay’s Dad) on Brain Scratch or Shauna Rae is another good one.
But who can confirm that? Name one person that can say that Lindsay arrived at that house at 4?
Lindsay cell phone(not a person) can say when she got there or with the area depending on the cell tower feeding the data.
Deeply disturbing case. My gut instinct is that SZ was the blonde, who showed up at the viewing, and ‘surprised’ Lindsay under the pretense that, as this was her first big showing, this was a ‘test’ to see how she goes about showing a home. Whatever apprehension Lindsay may have felt at that moment, she’d have set it aside, and gone along with this creative mentoring by SZ and phony husband and may have even felt some relief in that this funny exercise in on the job training, although bizarre, would have explained everything, in her mind. Regardless, she would have had no option but to play along.

Why does the boyfriend show up late, with a friend, when he was asked to be there for his girlfriend to protect her. Then he texts that he is almost there after he already texted that he would be 10-15 mins away. Then he doesn’t go inside. Then be goes straight to the room where she was murdered? Guilty… He conspired.
Yes he did conspire. So did SZ, RZ, Jackass DeSousa, Prick Bergshoeff, a Saanich cop or 2 or 3, Michelle Lum and a couple others. It’s obvious to 96% of the people that read about it. This is an old post, but I wonder if the server at Sauce was asked how Lindsay was dressed for lunch. If she was ‘casual’ chances are she would have returned home to change;if dressed professionally she could have gone directly to the property.

I believe shirley had a lot to do with it, the more I read the story just doesnt and up. I also believe if Jason knows anything now, he wasn’t in on it. If he had prior knowledge I would think he would have established an even stronger alibi and stayed far far away from the crime scene. He did make certain he had an alibi, having that other guy with him and being seen on camera, thats very convenient for him. Also convenient is that he didnt see the killers leave when he was right there while the murder happened, and he texted her to ask if she was okay instead of calling? Whatever.
Moving on, shirley possibly had some back room dealings. Maybe there were also police involved, the drug dealers, etc. Maybe not. But real estate is a known front for laundering money. And even if there were not police directly involved in the shady business, she probably paid them off. I dont think they investigated this for shit. Im sorry but why hold the sketches for a year? Did they go through the businesses finances? How did jason and shirley get cleared so easily? Thats a whole other rabbit hole to go down, so ill leave that alone for now. You have some serious emotional problems. The rage you throw at anybody that has a different opinion than you is similar to that of a spoiled child. The son and mother were looked at hard because of their connection to her. The police dismissed them. If we are going down the rabbit hole that all the police are corrupt and polygraphs mean nothing, well, good luck. And for the record, the actions of the son that night don’t translate to “evidence.” You can spin it anyway you want, but he was not there when she met the couple and he was not in the house when it transpired. For every speculation in which you think his actions were weird, another can be made that says it was not. She was making a real estate deal, I believe the boyfriend wished to lay back so she did not come across as someone that needed her hand held while she did her job. I have also been asked to provide backup during similar deals, I always try to lay back so the other person could do their job and the customers were not uncomfortable.

Rianne Garcias phone records should have been checked . she would have had to relay the information about the referral to either the burner or an unknown number that might have lead to a new lead. All of her boyfriends family as well. Someone was in communication with the killers from that real estate office either directly of through another number but if follwed through new leads should show through. As far as the escape through the back yard sounds far fetched . Jason drove passed the front he noticed the killers were still there so he pulled passed the house and sat for 10 minuted so his unknowing passenger would not see them leave he watch them leave then drove back to the house . He went to extremes to make sure his alibi covered him his mom and even his brother by calling his brother for directions and then his mom for the code asking a friend to let him buy dinner a half hour after he had lunch then to be recorded on camera. Then his excuse for not going in was I didnt want to seem like an over barring boyfriend Well you were asked to be there and Im sure Linsey let the killers know you were coming for the walk through But it didnt seem to stop them cause they knew he wasn’t coming .The whole family was in on it including Rianne . Having money doesn’t make you smart it makes others not question your motives as much .

If none of those men are involved in the murder what is the significance of the cell phone pings and why was that information provided to casefile? At the 51.00 minute mark, the producer said he was told about the cell phone records.

I think I saw somewhere about this, maybe on John Lordan’s youtube video, that it wasn’t the police who shared this information – they are useless in this case by the way. I think it was a private investigator that the father hired who found this out. But you’d think that the police would’ve checked it out thoroughly – all their phone records, etc. Very discouraging.

Does anybody think that the mother Shirley zailo hired someone to kill Lindsay? I was thinking what if Shirley hired those 4 men to kill Lindsay for whatever reason and to make it seem like some sort of serial killer killing- the reason she was stabbed so many times- and to make sure she was definitely dead. Then later paid off police to say that Lindsays boyfriend passed the polygraph test hence the reason why police are not doing anything and refuse to show the files. What if lindsays boyfriend really didn’t pass the polygraph and shirley who was basically rich just paid off the police to shut their mouth.

The inference here is that the details given to Lindsay by “the Mexicans” (the killers) were designed so that no other house would be selected. The murder house was chosen by Rianne, who knew of the listing. The Casefile podcast states that the cellphone of “the Mexicans” and Vid pinged at the same time at the same cellphone tower when the killers got to Vancouver Island. Moreover, cellphones of the four POI above pinged together the night of the murder. Strong circumstantial evidence, but police need a witness to corroborate this in court.

I don’t know why people are so caught up on this “mexican” thing. It’s pretty obvious to me they weren’t mexican. They had funny spanish accents and witnesses described them as caucasian. That’s brazillian people. She called them mexicans probably because she hadn’t met very many Brazillians before and got hung up on the funny spanishy accent.
Lindsay was going to break off the relationship with her boyfriend. Lindsay had seen a lot of stuff that the boyfriend and his mom were involved in. The mom was concerned because she could leak stuff that could get them in a serious bind. The boyfriend was upset about being dumped and the criminal ramifications of Lindsay talking. The decision was made by these two to use criminal associates to murder her. The boyfriend was sure to establish his alibi and then find the body. The mother was sure to be miles away as well. This was choreographed for sometime, primarily the mother’s doing with assistance from some of the criminal associates in BC. The police in that area are no necessarily corrupt, but there are some people in law enforcement with ties to the underworld up there. God Bless the dad for keeping this thing alive, but this thing has been swept far under the rug.

I disagree with you Joel. The house was a convenience for the murder. Joe De Sousa owned it, he was friends with Shirley Zailo’s boyfriend, Paul Bergshoeff. Joe DeSousa was dividing the land around this house that his family had owned for years. Houses were under construction around them at that time of Lindsay’s murder. My point being Joe DeSousa and his trashy friends knew exactly what was going on in that cul de sac at the time of the murder and they could control and predict activity at any time. No it wasn’t about the house it was about Lindsay knowing something that threatened the criminal lifestyle of DeSousa, the Zailo’s, Horsley, and the likes of them. It was crazy that Terry Shein lived next door to Joe DeSousa too, I wonder when he moved into that house because I believe he was the escape route. Casefile 28 on you tube explains how that happened.

The person who knew who all the clients of Lindsay’s were and who found out that this particular one was away…So the person who conspired was the one who had a GOOD ACCESS to this information. If they didn’t know them very well already, and to find out which client was gone, wouldn’t they have had to call around? De Sousa, that is why that house was chosen. Unlimited access to the house while they were planning Lindsay’s demise. It would have never worked like it did if Shirley Zailo didn’t have complete access to the house, yard, neighbor, fence. Shirley’s boyfriend at the time also knew home owner. As far as clients that supposedly gave Lindsay’s contact out was BS. SZ was manager at Remax and she must have known people were going to be out of town and Lindsay could not reach them to verify. SZ would have been paying attention to everything Lindsay did starting in December when OJason was caught behind bedroom door eavesdropping on Lindsay and Nikki and heard Lindsay say she wanted to leave him when some deals closed. Jason whined to Mommy and she twisted off with anger. This is not related to drug bust, Lindsay’s murder has the devil Zailo’s marks all over it. The Calgary drug deal is just used to keep people from looking at the Zailo’s. The SPD are protecting Zailo’s by trying to confuse people.
Why cant they find her clients that where away on vacation? They should go through every real estate client she had. Plus this is total speculation but where was Shirley at the time of the murder? was she the women at the visit? showing up last minute with the male client telling Lindsey she new the clients after-all (possibly through the clients that recommended her) and somehow bumped into him and decided to go.
